Enterprise Estonia (EAS) and Estonian Tourist Board (ETB) are public sector bodies and ETB belongs to EAS. Enterprise Estonia is the largest foundation providing assistance to companies in Estonia. Its aim is to enhance the competitiveness of Estonian enterprises and the Estonian environment, thus increasing the general well-being in society. The activities of Enterprise Estonia are focused on the development of Estonian companies and the business environment in a globalizing world.
- Marketing Estonia as a tourist destination in international and domestic target markets
- Advising businesses in the areas related to tourism research, product development and marketing
- Coordinating additional work-related training in the tourism sector
VocMat and the Estonian Tourist Board
Participation in the VocMat project is very appropriate as it builds on the local relationships that exist in Estonia between ETB and the tourism industry and EAS and the wider economically-active sectors. This organisation recruited pilot members and sat on the Management and Valorisation Groups. The networks available to both these organisations are very wide and the development of new delivery mechanisms will be likely to be used by other sectors in the future.
