Sungurlu Vocational and Technology Development Association was established in Sungurlu town of Corum in 2003. This association was established in 2003 by members of Sungurlu Vocational Higher School. The aim of this association is to arrange the vocational training programmes in order that the regional development can be provided, to build new labour markets and to work as an advisor for the business and organisations. The association prepares projects based on vocational and technique training and supports the projects like this. Thanks to the detailed projects that this association has prepared, it has an experience in the project management.
Members of the association are involved in trainees and employees in the tourism sector. Some of the members give lectures about the distance learning and the tourism training at the different university and high schools.
The association has been the partner of VocMat Project since 2007. The tourism sector is the most important and well-developed sector in Turkey and develops the importance of this Project in terms of this country. That the sector is developing quickly and many hotels are giving a service, results in the increase of qualified personnel needs.
It is thought that the project applied in Turkey will support the solution of the problem referred. Thanks to the project, the distance learning, an innovative and flexible way, will improve the knowledge and experience of the hotel workers; the different applications will be shared by exchanging views with the hotel workers; the developed new applications will have a chance to be implemented in our country at the same time.
